West Cumbria Rape Crisis is a Charity organisation which offers free support to anyone over the age of 16 years, who has been affected by rape, sexual assault or sexual abuse at any time in their lives. This includes support for partners, carers, family members and friends amongst others.

Services Offered

Telephone Helpline

• Provides a confidential contact point
• Available 24 hours a day as an answerphone service
• Call-back service
• Manned by trained volunteers 3 times per week
• Is a route to other available services
• Our Helpline number will not register on your 'phone bill or if 1471 is dialled
• Face to Face Support:
  • One-to-one confidential support from a trained volunteer
  • At a time and place convenient for you
  • Up to six sessions available
• Counselling Services:
  • Professionally qualified volunteer counsellors
  • At a time and place convenient for you
  • Up to 10 sessions available
